Some info on the Airport.

I have been very busy doing other stuff since last post. I'm very sorry for this taking longer then expected. I have been doing stuff lately on the project, but I won't give you any ETA. I cant give anyone the decrypted-firmware as that is illegal here in Norway. (I also want to do this my self to get more knowledge of ARM). I will give you the firmware-decrypt-algorithm as soon as I find it.

  1. Is it legal to upload a 7-zipped file to a public upload site such as Omploader, and then put the link in the DD-WRT forums? or does that fall under the same law?

  2. Thanks for the update, still keenly watching this space (and secretly hoping that my AirPort Express dies too)

  3. Still waiting on this... not to rush anything...

the firmware decrypt algorithm and the encrypted firmware in an archive file uploaded to ompldr.org would be the safest way to go here, then, if you're scared about breaking laws.

  4. could you decrypt the american and the european firmware for Airport Extreme Base Stations (AEBS) MC340 and compare it. I guess and find some other comments, that the hardware is identical, only modell numbers are different, cause different regional firmwares. MC340LL/A is the american one and MC340Z/A the european. I couldn't update my two american AEBS, cause Firmware update dialouge states it isn't supported. till now I can't use the possible 5 GHz channels here in europe. please, would you try to help me?
